About CSL First City

A Beloved Community in action

CSL First City Teaching Chapter (CSLFC) is a spiritual home in St. Augustine, Florida devoted to living the wisdom of Ernest Holmes and other great visionaries, harmonized with healing modalities including recovery, meditation, biofield tuning, massage, breathwork and acupuncture.

Our story

Not just a place — a movement

Our sacred purpose is to extend love and transformation beyond the walls of a traditional Center, reaching into the hearts of all who seek healing, wholeness and belonging. Rooted in the awareness that we are each expressions of the Divine, we are co-creating a Beloved Community where spiritual leadership is practiced as shared growth, fundraising is reimagined as soul-to-soul invitation, and ministry becomes a mutual journey of transformation.

We honor the soul's natural longing for connection, purpose and contribution. Our path includes integrating grief through CSL Grief Life Circles©, healing trauma through Adult Children of Alcoholics® and Rev. Carol Wilke's Heart, Mind & Spirit Recovery®, and uplifting consciousness through accredited Science of Mind teachings.

We know the Spirit beyond us, the Spirit beside us, and the Spirit as us as the triune nature of us all. This sacred Presence is always for us and never against us.

Vision, mission and purpose

  • Our vision

CSL First City ignites personal growth and supports healing by co-creating a Beloved Community in St. Augustine — a spiritual ecosystem of love, learning and liberation.

  • Our mission

We guide the journey of self-discovery and transformation through experiential learning, compassionate ministry and inclusive fellowship.

  • Our purpose

We cultivate sacred space for healing and growth, welcoming all to explore their spiritual path, do the deep work of releasing what no longer serves, and rise into their highest expression — with love as our first language.

How we live it

Five ways we serve

  • Spiritual Counseling

One-on-one sessions are sacred encounters. Guided by our Spiritual Leader, individuals apply Science of Mind principles to real-life situations, awakening to the truth of their being.

  • Compassionate Healing

True healing includes body, mind and spirit. We integrate transformative practices to support people journeying through addiction, trauma and grief — honoring their wholeness every step of the way.

  • Sacred Community

We cultivate a culture of connection, belonging and mutual care. Everyone is invited to bring their authentic self and contribute to a shared vision of spiritual awakening.

  • Empowered Learning

Education is a spiritual practice. Our classes, workshops, meditations and support circles equip people to live from their divine nature with clarity, courage and joy.

  • Generosity of Spirit

Inspired by Henri Nouwen, we see giving not as an obligation but as a spiritual invitation — a moment of shared vision and mutual uplift.

  • CSL First City has been created with you in mind — because when one person awakens, the world is transformed.
